Myanmar’s resistance groups have announced a temporary ceasefire to assist in relief operations, ensuring that aid reaches affected areas without further conflict.

With the US Geological Survey predicting the death toll could exceed 10,000, experts warn that Myanmar faces a long road to recovery. The ongoing civil war in the country has made communication and rescue efforts difficult, further worsening the crisis.
