Hyderabad Police Issues Strict Holi Guidelines to Ensure Public Safety

Hyderabad City Police has announced stringent guidelines ahead of the Holi festival on **March 14, 2025**, to maintain public safety and prevent any disturbances.  



As per the official notification, the following activities are strictly prohibited:  

✅ Throwing colours or water on unwilling individuals.  

✅ Smearing colours on vehicles or public property without consent.  

✅ Group vehicle movements that disrupt public order.  


The **Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, CV Anand**, issued the order on **March 11, 2025**, under **Section 22 of the Hyderabad City Police Act**, which grants the police authority to regulate public gatherings, processions, and ensure law and order. These restrictions will be in effect **from 6 PM on March 13 to 6 AM on March 15, 2025**.  


Those violating these prohibitory orders will face **legal action under Section 76 of the Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348 Fasli**, which includes penalties for disobedience of official directives.  


The police have urged citizens to **celebrate Holi responsibly** while respecting public spaces and others’ consent to ensure a peaceful and joyous festival in Hyderabad.
